Veuve Clicquot Chalet at Customs House

The Veuve Clicquot Chalet, open from Friday, May 10, is an Aspen-style winter paradise complete with individual pop-up Igloo chalets, and is set to have every visitor feeling thoroughly après-ski despite our sweeping Brisbane River views.

Enjoy a glass or bottle of Veuve Clicquot NV, or a bottle of Veuve Clicquot Rosé (the first ever sparkling rosé, developed by the Grande Dame, Madame Clicquot, herself) and Veuve Clicquot 2008 Vintage will be available for your luxe night spent in the Chalet, as well as a selected range of wines and beers.

It wouldn’t be a playful winter retreat without a few cocktails, and the Veuve Clicquot Chalet certainly delivers; slide into a Clicquot Pear 75 (Belvedere Pure vodka, lemon juice, pear juice, and Veuve Clicquot Brut) or a frosty Polish Mule (Belvedere Pure, elderflower syrup, Fever Tree ginger beer, Angostura bitters and lime), recline in a cosy chair, and think of (or dream of!) time spent in the French Alps.

The Veuve Clicquot Chalet’s menu combines the best of a mild Queensland winter with classic coldweather bites, including ocean trout toasties with crème fraîche and fennel marmalade, and whole baked brie with thyme and crostini.

For the duration of the pop-up, a citrus-poached Moreton Bay Bug croissant with lime mayo, chips with parmesan and truffle aioli, and a glass of Veuve Clicquot Brut will be available for a cool $40 – the perfect way to spend an evening after work, or stop by for a snack on your way up the Saturday night mountain!

To snow-cap the playful glamour of the chalets, Veuve Clicquot will also host ‘Clicq-mas’, a Christmas celebration for the duration of July! ‘Clicq-mas’ guests can expect a dedicated menu complete with mini Yorkshire puddings, chestnuts, grilled quail with cranberry and redcurrant relish, and eggnog panna cotta with poached cherries – classic Yuletide flavours that we don’t get to fully enjoy at Christmas time considering Brisbane’s December climate!

To get into the swing of the secondary silly season, Customs House will upgrade your reservation with a magnum of Veuve Clicquot Brut to all bookings of eight or more on the ‘Clicq-mas’ Feast! Gather a group of friends and book a Clicquot Christmas feast in the month of July between Thursday to Saturday from 4pm or Sunday from 12-4pm (minimum spends apply).  Bookings for Clicquot Christmas will open in June.
