Elderton Wine Dinner
Join us at Patina Customs House on Thursday 12th September for our next wine dinner for 2024 featuring Elderton Wines, including their iconic Command Shiraz.
Elderton’s very own Allister Ashmead will host us and share stories from his family vineyards. Allister oversees marketing and production at Elderton Wines. He rejoined the family business in 2000 after university, international vintages, and working in the wholesale wine trade. Recognized for his contributions to the Barossa Valley, Allister was inducted as a Baron of the Barossa in 2009 and has served in various leadership roles in the region’s wine and tourism industry.
Elderton Wines, owned by the Ashmead family in Australia’s Barossa Valley, is renowned for producing some of the region’s best wines. Their flagship wine, the Command Shiraz is a celebrated single vineyard wine from vines planted in 1894. Elderton operates three vineyards—Nuriootpa, Greenock, and Eden Valley—each contributing unique characteristics to their wines. Their philosophy focuses on crafting balanced wines that can be enjoyed young or aged over time.
