The boardroom is an exquisite, formal showpiece featuring crystal chandeliers, marble fireplaces and an 1880's heritage cedar table.

The elegance of this room is echoed in the finest crystal, silverware and napery for dining.

The table has extension leaves and can seat up to a maximum of 23 persons.

 

The Sylvia Jones Boardroom was named in honour of Sylvia Jones – Lady Mayoress of Brisbane 1961 – 1975 in appreciation of her contribution to the citizens of Brisbane. (Gift by Dr Clem Jones towards the restoration of Customs House.) The boardroom features selected works from the UQ Art Museum.
